Hemp Seed for Multiple Sclerosis
While more research may be needed to substantiate current findings, researchers have indeed found that hemp seed oil can potentially alleviate symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. In one study, MS patients were given a supplementation of rosehip seed oil and hemp seed oil in addition to a prescribed diet. A second group of MS patients was given a supplementation of olive oil with the prescribed diet, and a third group was supplemented with the rosehip and hemp seed oils without the diet. Results of the study showed a significant decrease in relapse and symptoms in both groups that consumed the hemp and rosehip seed oils, suggesting the immunotherapeutic potential of hemp oil supplementation.
